Cornish artist

An establised and accomplished artist, Julie Brett  lived and worked in Cornwall for over 20 years.

Her paintings are purchased by private collectors throughout Britain and across the world, who recognise her ability to capture light and atmosphere in paintings of places she loves and know so well.

Julie is best know for her pastel paintings which she produced in her studio, an old Cornish Granite barn perched on the hillside above the beautiful Fowey river valley overlooking Lostwithiel in south east Cornwall.

Her home and studio were well placed for her work, for within a few minutes reach, and providing constant inspiration, are gorse strewn moors, meandering creeks and the sea.

Favourite subjects included dramatic sea-scapes, wild skies, wide beaches and tiny coves. Julie produced work for leading galleries in the west county, who regularly exhibit her work.  Occassional exhibitions are also held  in London and East Anglia.
